My console closes everytime I start a game or click somewhere on the menu, that's f*cking annoying!

So yeah, everytime I click somewhere in the menu or start a game and then press Esc, the console dissappeared. But I can't get it back, only with a restart. Also it doesn't work to bind stuff like "engine toggleconsole" or "showconsole 1" to a key.

If I enter showconsole 1 in the console, when it's open, it says that this options is set to 0. How can I change this or get the console after I click somewhere or start a game back? Help would be nice!

Just type in bind "key" "toggleconsole" and press that key whenever you want it open..

I know u can for any game but i can put up maps like dd2 or office? ill try it out but how will i be able to do so.

You know, I have all the bsp files for the full game, too bad you cant load them in the demo. Anyway, on topic. I have the same problem, you can only open the console in-game. Really sucks.
